JOB QUALIFICATIONS HCP=Health Care Provider The HCP shall possess and maintain an unrestricted U.S. state license in his/her specialty. The HCP may not work with expired license. The HCP performing services under this agreement shall have been continuously employed and privileged in the CRNA services or in an accredited training program for two (2) years prior to commencement of services under this contract. The CRNA shall have current experience in providing epidural anesthesia (labor epidurals). The HCP shall be a graduate of an approved anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Education Program Schools or its predecessors. Have experience in delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia utilized in the delivery of obstetrical and surgical anesthesia (general endotracheal, subarachnoid block and epidural, and Intravenous (IV) regional techniques). Be certified every two (2) years by the council of Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. The HCP must show proof of U. S. Citizenship (certified copy of birth certificate or naturalization papers) or U.S. work authorization documents. The HCP shall meet the requirements of the Crime Prevention Act of 1990 if they provide health care to children under the age of 18. The HCP shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients, family members and other HCPs. The HCP shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certifications. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any fees associated with renewal or maintaining certifications. The HCP shall not work with expired certifications. The HCP shall have knowledge of professional trends and development of equipment and devices that are applicable to providing services. The HCP shall be required to meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for his/her specialty. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for these costs and the contractor shall not bill the Government the hourly rate while the HCP attends CMEs. The HCP may attend MTF CME/certification classes provided by MACH on a space available basis. The HCP must have basic computer skills and should be a competent typist as there is a requirement to complete documentation in the MACH’s electronic health record system. The HCP must be able to effectively log on and off, shutdown, and restart the computer system. The HCP must also be able to change network passwords, and know the difference between various application passwords and their network password. The HCP must be able to handle minor application problems, e.g. frozen software applications. The HCP must be able to effectively use the right hand mouse buttons for quick menu access and navigate in a Windows environment. The HCP must be able to open and save a file from a disk or the hard drive; this may be demonstrated by opening previously saved files, e.g. saved from/to any drive or directory. The HCP must be able to delete unwanted files, copy or move files as needed between drives and directories, and create folders/directories as necessary to complete the desired task. The HCP must be able to start an application, switch between applications, create backup files, and print documents by using a standalone or networked printer.
