Family Practice Nurse Practitioner - (FNP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

One of our Client's is in need of a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner available for three months with the possibility to extend. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 with a one hour lunch break. Local candidates are preferred, but travel and lodging will be considered. Nurse Practitioner needed to cover the shared duties with a child and adolescent psychiatrist on our acute adolescent unit. This position will be responsible for the care of a maximum of 6 patients, to include admitting and discharging, seeing each patient and writing a progress note at least twice per week, attending treatment teams, and attending probate hearings that take place at the facility. A family practice nurse practitioner (FNP)(locum tenens) focuses on the broad and complete care necessary in primary care settings. FNPs support patients from infancy through adulthood. A family practice nurse practitioner is trained to provide care to patients with acute illness such as headaches and bronchitis, and chronic illness such as high blood pressure and diabetes. In addition, FNPs provide support for preventative services, disease management, and illness prevention. A family nurse practitioner will practice in a multitude of settings to include; clinics, hospitals, and medical offices.
