Nurse Practitioner - (NP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/30/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The Air Force is looking for a qualified and committed Nurse Practitioner to assist with services for the troops and their families at Holloman AFB near Alamogordo. The provider will need to have completed a master's degree in nursing. The Nurse Practitioner will need to have any current and unrestricted state license. The provider will need to have a current BLS thru the American Heart Association, as well as a non-exempt and fee paid DEA. Will be working in an outpatient setting from 730-430 on a part-time schedule(2-3 days a week)schedule. Will be seeing all ages. Should expect to see 12-20 patients per day. But more than likely the number will be on the low end. This is a one year contract and the facility is looking for a provider that will commit to no less than 6 months of service.

A nurse practitioner (NP)(locum tenens) is a registered nurse (RN) with specialization in a specific area of medicine, such as family medicine or pediatrics. A nurse practitioner has completed a master’s program in nursing and has earned board certification in a chosen specialty. An NP is able to provide a wide range of medical services, from conducting physical examinations and taking down patient history to performing more complex procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
