Chicago area clinic is seeking a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage beginning as soon as possible and continuing at least through the end of September. This is an outpatient only setting. The schedule will be 4 hour shifts, 5 days per week and will include some Saturdays and Sundays. Expected patient volume is 16-20 patients per day. EMR experience is preferred, the site is using Centricity. Local candidates are preferred, but travel may be considered. A nurse practitioner (NP)(locum tenens) is a registered nurse (RN) with specialization in a specific area of medicine, such as family medicine or pediatrics. A nurse practitioner has completed a master’s program in nursing and has earned board certification in a chosen specialty. An NP is able to provide a wide range of medical services, from conducting physical examinations and taking down patient history to performing more complex procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
