Nurse Practitioner - (NP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/16/2013Available Shifts: Home Health

Nurse Practitioners are needed to provide home health assessments throughout Texas beginning September through December. The locations include the Dallas, Ft Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio metro areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday and all visits are scheduled from 8a-5p; however, flexible scheduling is available. There is an average of 4- 5 assessments per day with a total of 15-20 assessments per 5 day week. Training and supplies will be provided.

A nurse practitioner (NP)(locum tenens) is a registered nurse (RN) with specialization in a specific area of medicine, such as family medicine or pediatrics. A nurse practitioner has completed a master’s program in nursing and has earned board certification in a chosen specialty. An NP is able to provide a wide range of medical services, from conducting physical examinations and taking down patient history to performing more complex procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.

Required Qualifications
Texas license is required.
Adult, Geriatric or Family Medicine experience.
Minimum 3 day commitment per week required.
