Nurse Practitioner - (NP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Nurse Practitioner (NP) needed for health assessments in a an out-patient facility in in the Phoenix area. The Nurse Practitioner will see five to 8 patients per day and will see the same patients once per month unless there is a change in condition in which case the patient may be seen more than once per month. The Nurse Practitioner will see a broad age range but the bulk of the patient volume will be Geriatric so an NP with Geriatric and end of life and or Psych experience would be ideal. Spanish speaking is also a plus but not required. A Nurse Practitioner with Home Health experience is also a plus. This is not a solo practice. The facility has a full support staff. The daily schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with no after hour call. Some call is available if the Nurse Practitioner would like to take light call.

A nurse practitioner (NP)(locum tenens) is a registered nurse (RN) with specialization in a specific area of medicine, such as family medicine or pediatrics. A nurse practitioner has completed a master’s program in nursing and has earned board certification in a chosen specialty. An NP is able to provide a wide range of medical services, from conducting physical examinations and taking down patient history to performing more complex procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.

Required Qualifications
BC, DEA, AZ medical license. ACLS, BCLS.

Preferred Qualifications
BC, DEA, AZ medical license. ACLS, BCLS.

Glendale, AZ is part of Maricopa County and home of Super Bowl 2015. Just nine miles northwest of downtown Phoenix, Glendale is also the headquarters for the renowned Thunderbird International School of Business. Two of the most interesting monuments in Glendale are the Sugar Beet Factory Building, which was built in 1906 and the Glendale High School Auditorium, built in 1939.
