Oncology Nurse Practitioner - (NP- Oncology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

2 Nurse Practitioners specializing in Oncology needed for our client in Massachusetts for a period of 6 months or longer. Candidates should have inpatient oncology experience and be available to work a full time equivalent. An oncology nurse practitioner (locum tenens) works directly with cancer patients and evaluates, researches, and provides care for patients who are chronically and/or critically ill. They prescribe medication as needed, administer chemotherapy, and assist patients with the side effects of chemotherapy. Generally working within specialty hospitals, an oncology nurse practitioner also can work within medical offices and home health care offices. Certification as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) is required, along with a master's degree, to practice as an oncology nurse practitioner.
