Job Details:

The client, a 300 bed hospital in GA, about 2 hours from Atlanta, has a need for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their team.
Coordinating the planning, implementation and on-going monitoring and evaluation of patients admitted to the Hospital under the assigned service under the immediate supervision of a licensed physician. Responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to support and improve the quality of care provided to assigned patients across the continuum of care. Work to ensure an efficient and cost-effective course of hospitalization and length of stay for a select group of patients. Matches human and material resources to patient/client needs. Coordinate care through communication and collaboration with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies. Serve as a resource and educator for other professionals, clerical staff, students and community. The NP sees approximately 10 patients a day. They are utilized from the hospital medicine standpoint as well to determine if patients are medically well enough to be admitted to the psych facility.


This town is located about 2 hours from Atlanta yet has everything you could ever want! Enjoy the Riverwalk that runs through town or the many museums, performing arts center, historical centers, opera house, or the numerous parks in the restored downtown district. They also have a military base nearby as well as a university in town. This is the 3rd largest city in GA. From Broadway shows to the State Theatre of Georgia - this city offers an array of venues with world-class entertainment. From the history of the foot soldier, the Civil War and prisoners of war - the city is home to nationally acclaimed museums. Visitors stroll back to genteel times in the Historic District where brick streets, ancient oaks and century-old homes are the order of the day.
