Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - (Psych Nurse - Psych NP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Correctional facility is looking for a full time psychiatrist for contract coverage. Physician has the ability to work a flexible schedule starting as early as 7:30am to 4:00 pm. Candidates will be responsible for medication management and the evaluation of new patients. Psychiatrist will have a full support staff for assistance, as well as other physicians for consults. A psychiatric nurse practitioner(locum tenens) provides therapeutic and psychiatric services to patients in need. These practitioners may work in a wide range of sectors, including as social workers, pastors, or addiction counselors. Mental health practitioners diagnose and assess their patients' needs and work to create effective plans for rehabilitation, conducting therapy sessions, prescribing medicine, and making referrals as necessary.

Required Qualifications
Candidate must have an active California license and DEA. Candidates must also be able to work from a formulary.

Preferred Qualifications
Correctional experience is a plus.
