Job Description
Hospital is seeking to add a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to its staff. There are currently 3 Psychiatrists and 2 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners on staff. This is a 64 bed inpatient unit with average daily census of 47 patients. There are both Adult and Geriatric patients in the unit. Call is one day per weekday and one weekend per month. Weekday call is telephone only, but weekend call the NP will round with the Psychiatrist. The hospital is offering a very competitive salary and complete benefits package. Requirements
Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from a family psychiatric–mental health nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (formerly NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission). Eligible for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
