This part time opportunity in beautiful Southern California/Los Angeles area is perfect for a child psychiatric nurse practitioner looking for ongoing coverage. The client is interested in a mental health physician with community mental health experience, and the ability to work independently. The practitioner will be responsible for medication checks and initial evaluation of child patients, and will have supervision of a psychiatrist on site. A psychiatric nurse practitioner(locum tenens) provides therapeutic and psychiatric services to patients in need. These practitioners may work in a wide range of sectors, including as social workers, pastors, or addiction counselors. Mental health practitioners diagnose and assess their patients' needs and work to create effective plans for rehabilitation, conducting therapy sessions, prescribing medicine, and making referrals as necessary.

Required Qualifications
All candidates must be licensed in the state of California, and an active DEA.
