Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - (NP-Primary Care) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Washington, DC area clinic is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage beginning as soon as possible and continuing for 1-3 months. This is an outpatient only opportunity and the schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00. Average patient volume is 25 patients per day. Patient base is 70% Spanish speaking, so bi-lingual would be a plus. But, translation services are available. EMR experience is preferred, but training will be provided, the site is using Centricity. A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.
