Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - (NP-Primary Care) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 02/18/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The Army is looking for a qualified and committed Nurse Practitioner to see the troops and their families at Ft. Riley, KS. Nurse Practitioner must be a U.S citizen
Must have a current BLS thru the American Heart Association. Must have a current DEA that is fee paid and non-exempt. Must have graduated with nursing degree from accredited college. Must have one year experience. Will be working in an out-patient setting seeing all ages from 730-430 pm on a Monday thru Friday schedule. There is no call or overtime required. This is a one year assignment starting June 1 2013 thru May 31 2014.


A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

The Atomic Cannon, which sits atop the hills that surround Fort Riley, is imposing and fascinating. The Post caters to its residents with passions for the outdoors and athletics, with pools, bowling, and many fishing and hunting options. The Fort Riley Marina offers plenty of summer recreation fun, with boating and skeet/trap classes.
