New locum tenen opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in LA County! Our client is looking for Advanced Practice Professionals to provide home health assessments in Riverside, California and its surrounding areas. This provider will be evaluating and addressing disease prevention and health promotion issues of the Medicare Advantage member while conducting health assessments in member's homes. This provider will do a review of systems, history, physical exam as well as any indicated screenings. Spanish speaking providers would be a huge plus. A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

Required Qualifications
Current and active state license is required.
Current and active driver's license is required.
Client requires at least 1 year of experience in geriatric patient care or clinic involvement with geriatric population.
Client requires at least 1 year of experience in providing home health care visits (preferably in geriatric patient populations).
Client requires at least 1 year of experience performing physical examinations, performing diagnostic tests and screenings, developing treatment plans.
Client requires at least 1 year of recent experience in phlebotomy.
Experience in gerontology and the ability to work with little or no direct supervision in the performance of these clinical duties are critical factors.
