Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for coverage in an Upstate New York Correctional Facility for an opportunity starting in July . This job opportunity offers 40 hour 8hr a day work week. - No call. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care Outpatient setting.

A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

Required Qualifications
NY Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed - Ongoing - Schedule: Mon - Fri: 8a-5p. Type of patient seen: 20-25ppd, 100% adult patients (Men & Women), 100% Scheduled patients seen. Typical Cases Seen: Sick visits, female exams, Hypertension, Diabetics, physicals, and chronic illnesses. Support Staff: 1 x MD, RN's, and LPNs. Written Charting
