Certified Nurse Practitioner needed for a job opportunity in New York City starting in November. This assignment offers a Full-Time 40hr work week schedule. The provider must be well-versed in a primary care setting and comfortable covering locations in all 5 boroughs of New York.

A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

Required Qualifications
NY licensed Nurse Practitioner needed ASAP - 01/31/2014 (May Extend). Schedule: Mon - Fri: 9a-5p. No call. The provider will be covering 2 Bronx locations. Also may be required to cover 1 x evening shift per week (11a-7p or 10a-6p).Type of Patients seen: Adults, Adolescents, PEDS, and 10% Newborns.14-18ppd. Support staff: 2 x MD's, 1 x MA, and Social Services. Typical Cases seen: Sick & Well visits, Diabetes, Hypertension, depression, physicals, and follow up visits
