Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - (NP-Primary Care) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 11/18/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Certified Nurse Practitioners needed for a Home Health assessments in Washington State for an assignment starting in November ongoing. This opportunity offers full time & part time schedules with 8hour days. The Nurse Practitioner acts as part of the clinical operations team and provides assessments and direct patient care in nursing homes, and home settings depending on the nature of the assignment.

A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

Required Qualifications
SPECIALTY: 10 x Nurse Practitioners
CERTIFICATIONS: BC by AANP or ANCC
DATES: 11/18/13- 12/31/13
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: Full Time 8hr days (Part Time 2 x 8hr days minimum a week available too)
DESCRIPTION: Nurse practitioner will perform in-depth health risk assessments, in skilled nursing care facilities or patient's homes. The provider may be responsible for care plans and treatment on members in medical management settings. NP works collaboratively with physicians, case managers, social workers, family, and key care givers. Reviews and interprets the medical and social history of members. NP performs appropriate medical screening procedures and Interprets lab data. Provides prescriptions and administers medications when assigned to medical management services. Minimum 1 yr clinical exp in Geri, Adult, and FP.
