Staff Care is looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who lives in Maine to help cover one of our clients in their long term acute care nursing home. This assignment begins in November and will extend until our client hires a permanent provider- so anyone advanced practice providers interested in a permanent position should also look into this locum tenen assignment. This schedule is ideal for providers who want to work a flexible schedule, as they are open to 2-3 days a week and will absolutely work around your availability. A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.
