Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - (NP-Primary Care) Locum Tenens

The Indian Health Center in central California is in need of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to help with coverage in their outpatient department. The assignment would start February 10th and continue through March 14th with the option to extend. The outpatient clinic is open Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm, no call and no weekends.

A primary care nurse practitioner (locum tenens) diagnoses and treat patients, order diagnostics, conduct physical exams, interpret x-rays and other tests, and also educate patients on maintaining proper health. In addition to a nursing license, a primary care nurse practitioner holds a certification as a nurse practitioner, and typically a master's degree. A primary care nurse practitioner works with physicians on duty to help evaluate and treat patients.

California license required
BLS, DEA required
