Job Description

Temp to Hire.
Must be an RN and have legal or quality experience. Must have healthcare regulatory experience.
RN-Texas License or Compact License-required
Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in a healthcare regulatory position-required
Certification in Healthcare Quality-preferred
Four Year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience-required
Graduate or advanced degree-preferred

This job is responsible for maintaining the organization's accreditation status by providing ongoing coordination, support, monitoring, education, evaluation, and consulting to organization leaders in maintaining and developing the accreditation management program. Maintain understanding of current standards, requirements and regulations of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the State of Texas including JCAHO hospital accreditation requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation and Texas State Hospital licensing requirements and facilitate organization compliance with these requirements. Educate leaders, staff, and medical staff, and other stakeholders on accreditation process and requirements. Coordinate assessment, monitoring, and improvement activity associated with meeting applicable standards and requirements. Coordinate on-site surveys and mock surveys and consultations. Prepare and present reports on compliance status. Coordinate organization sustainability plan for ongoing readiness. Provide staff support to committees and work groups charged with accreditation steering and oversight
