Job Description
DIRECTOR OF NURSING
•General Hospital Information
• Premier health care system serving southeast Iowa, west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri

• Brand new Orthopedic Center Training and Rehab Facilities Nursing Home Hospice Home Child Care Center Newly remodeled Emergency Department New helicopter for hospital transfers
• CWA Union – Communication Worker’s of America (registered nurses only)
• 160 bed long-term skilled care facility 32 bed Alzheimer’s unit 16 skilled bed unit
• Director of Nursing reports to the Administrator
• Manages 122.5 FTE’s (this number will increase slightly) and Budget of 7.4 million
• 6 Direct Reports including 5 RN Managers and part-time Staffing Specialist
• Other staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Household Coordinators, Universals Homemakers and a Care Plan Facilitator
• Payer Mix: 25% Private and 75% Medicare Title 19
• Certified Eden Facility Consists of 10 households, with two households comprising a “neighborhood”
• 16 residents per household 32 residents per neighborhood
Key Responsibilities
• Hire, supervise and train staff
• Develop staff, specifically RN Managers
• Oversee and manage budget
• • Continue to improve quality measures
Requirements for Position
• BSN or BS Degree Will consider Associate Degree if willing to complete 4 year degree
• Current Iowa RN license or eligible to secure Iowa license
• Previous supervisory experience in long term care preferred or
Management in hospital setting
• Strong management and communication skills
Compensation
• Salary range - $64,000 - $94,150 depending on experience
• Excellent benefits (Directors do not pay monthly contribution toward benefits for single or family medical and prescription or for single dental)
• Tuition Assistance of $5200 per year
• Assistance with Moving Expenses
