This facility is looking for an Emergency room RN
to handle visits/procedures/ all births per day.
The patient population this ER RN will be working with are Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics. The number of RN’s on the unit will average 32 with 11 per shift.
This Emergency unit uses EMT’s and Ward Clerks.
Emergency Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 patients for day shift and 1:3 patients for night shift
Shifts within unit will be 3 8hour RN's first start 7:00am, 2, 12hour RN's start time 7:00am and pm.
Special procedures on this unit Endoscopy, suction curettage. Special equipment used on this unit: Standard ED types.
The Total # of beds in the unit 35.

Again, this unit is looking for compassionate and committed RN's who are dedicated to providing comprehensive care to these important patients!


The role of the emergency room nurse (ER RN) is to care for patients suffering from trauma or illness that requires emergency attention. The ER RN must recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions, with the ability to deploy rapid assessment and treatment of patients in highly critical situations, particularly during the initial phase of acute illness and trauma, where every second is important. Emergency nurses must possess knowledge about healthcare on general and specific levels and provide quality care to patients of all ages. Additionally, the ER RN must be prepared to treat a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, ranging from a fever to a heart attack.

Required Qualifications
3 years ED experience in the last 5 years
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Ventilator Management

Preferred Qualifications
CEN and Triage.
