Exclusive order to AMN Healthcare at a state-of-the-art 352-bed hospital in Downey, CA. Built in 2009 this hospital has 95 percent family-friendly private rooms. It includes a variety of environmentally friendly features such as large windows to allow for an abundance of natural light, carpeting made from recycled materials, use of 100 percent of fresh air and no recirculation, and paint made from non-toxic materials.
Patient Population- antepartums, post partums, newborns, OBGYN post op

Postpartum nurses are responsible for caring for both moms and their newborns after delivery. The postpartum care nurse plays a crucial role in the hours following delivery, monitoring mothers and helping to ensure proper recovery. Postpartum RNs must recognize postpartum depression and teach new moms how to address emotions, while also acting as a teacher for the new parents and usually giving instructions on how to care, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
