Job Details:

The facility is in search of a Nurse Manager for our Surgery Department.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the direction of patient care in the operative environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Surgical Services and manages staff in the surgery department. The incumbent will be responsible and have 24/7 accountability for the overall staffing, operational, time and attendance, work flow and personnel performance.

Additionally, consults with staff, physicians, and department Director on Nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure optimal delivery of quality patient care within established standards of the hospital


Qualifying candidates will possess:

*Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing at the Bachelor’s Degree Level

*5 years clinical nursing experience in an OR of like size and scope

*Must possess and maintain current RN licensure that allows practice in the state of Texas

*3 years experience in an increasingly responsible leadership position

*Experience with Microsoft WORD and Excel, knowledge of AORN and AAMI Standards

*BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

*Knowledge of Horizon Surgical Manager and EPIC is a plus

*CNOR

*ACLS

Shift:

*Monday - Friday

*40 Hours Per Week

*Day Shift
