This faciltiy is specifically looking for an RN that has the ability to function as an experienced Telemetry level RN with minimal direction
The number of beds on this unit is 32, with 24 average daily census.
Age groups of patients are Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics. Unit patient cases are all MS type patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring.
This unit regularly use float staff in Med Surg and DOU.
34 Telelmetry RN’s within this unit.
This unit does use CNA’s and Ward Clerks.
Nurse/Patient Ratio on this unit for Days is 1:4 for Nights it is 1:4, and for rotating shifts it is: 1-4. .
The Number of hours and shifts are 3 eight hour Tele RN's first start at 7:00am and two 12hr Tele RN's starting at 7:00am and pm.
Special medications/drips administered on this unit are: Insulin; “renal dose†Dopamine.
Special procedures done on this unit are: Cardioversion.
Special equipment used on the unit is: Cardiac monitor; Oximeters.

The role of the telemetry nurse (Tele RN) is to provide care for patients by comfortably connecting them to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information. The tele RN also monitors and interprets this data, assessing any potential health problems and needs, while also developing nursing care plans and maintaining accurate medical records. A telemetry nurse typically works in hospitals or other clinical environments.
