Job Description

Concentra is seeking to hire a RN for a full time Occupational Health Nurse opportunity. This opportunity requires current RN license and current CPR certification. Qualified candidates will have good customer service, communication and computer skills. Previous occupational health experience is required. COHN is requested.

Basic responsibilities will be to promote health, prevent disease, and help employees cope with industrial illness and injuries. The nurse will be an advocate and health educator for employees and families. When providing direct patient care, will observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress in patients. The RNs also develop and manage nursing care plans, instruct patients and their families in proper care, and help individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain their health.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides nursing and first aid services to employees or persons who are ill or injured on the clients premises in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations to achieve objectives of occupational health and safety services.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state(s) of employment and practice.

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1-year experience in occupational health nursing required.

DEMONSTRATED JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Current knowledge of laws and regulations that govern occupational and environmental health and safety.
Medical knowledge of techniques and information needed to treat human injuries/illnesses.
Customer and personal service knowledge including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of employer specific equipment, including computer software
Monitoring to make improvements or take corrective action.
Knowledge of human behavior and performance.
Time management; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Computer literacy, ability to work with computerized systems and applications
Ability to work independently.
Judgment and decision-making, skills.
Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisors, peers, or customers.
Problem sensitivity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Clinic environment within a workplace setting.
Must be able to work hours contingent on business need.
