Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens
CRNA needed in Washington, DC facility for ongoing coverage while a permanent provider is sought. The available schedule varies and will include call. Typical cases that will include mostly endoscopy and low-volume OB cases. Provider must be comfortable and competent with spinals and epidurals. A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anesthesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
