Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens
The Indian Health Service in northwest New Mexico is in need of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist to provide coverage from February 2015 through February of 2016. The shift is from 7am - 3pm Monday through Friday and the CRNA will share call responsibilities. Call is 3 weekends and 3 weekdays per month on average.

A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anesthesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
