Loyal Source Government Services is currently hiring a Registered Nurse – Emergency Room for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital located in Fort Campbell, KY to work as a civilian contractor. Qualifications Knowledge of an extensive range of professional nursing theories, principles and procedures required to provide nursing care to every age patient with any and all complaints. Have and maintain current certification by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Nurses working in the EC must have one year experience in the past three years in EC nursing, also must have a minimum of (2) years in clinical nursing within the last (5) years working as a RN. Knowledge and clinical skills to provide specialized services to critically ill patients requiring complex and difficult treatment. Alertness, vigilance and skill in reacting promptly to emergency situations such as the treatment of trauma, drug overdose, psychosis, cardiac events, respiratory compromise and emergency childbirth. Knowledge of emergency and resuscitative measures. Ability to develop and contribute to patient plan of care to meet the patient’s physical psychosocial and spiritual needs. Knowledge of pharmaceutical agents, their desired effects, side effects, compatibility with other drugs, and complications of their use. Administers moderate sedation and implements appropriate monitoring throughout the procedure and post procedure for all ages of patients. Skill in operation of specialized medical equipment. Knowledge of a wide variety of medical disorders, injuries and surgical interventions. Anticipates complications and indicated therapeutic interventions for all ages of patients. Knowledge of Sterile technique. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide guidance and instructions. Skill in written and verbal communications sufficient to obtain, disseminate, and/or document care information. Knowledge of hospital administration procedures.
