Loyal Source Government Services is currently hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner for the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital located in Fort Campbell, KY to work as a civilian contractor. Qualifications: • The Nurse Practitioner shall have the required experience and documented current competence in the clinical setting to perform the tasks and procedures identified in this PWS. • Shall have and maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted license from any of the 50 U.S. states, • District of Columbia, or U.S Territory or jurisdiction to provide healthcare within the scope of practice for the specific healthcare discipline. • Shall have a minimum of one year experience in the past two years to be able to adequately perform task identified in this work statement. • Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association. • Be a certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. • Be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and hold current registration as a registered nurse. • Be a graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program. • Shall have a Master of Science in Nursing. • Shall a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number. • Shall have a current National Practitioner Identifier. (NPI) Scope of Work: • Provide a full range of nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Commanding Officer (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose,mtreat, and counsel patients as indicated). • Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in collaboration with a physician. • Collaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with chronic illnesses. • Order diagnostic tests as applicable. • Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. • Ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations.
