Job Description
The Opportunity
-The Registered Nurse works as a team member under the general direction of the Charge Nurse Manager and Director, performing a variety of nursing procedures with a patient focused approach
-Applies critical thinking to patient care management, assuring appropriate care based on patient needs, using age specific assessment, communications, and knowledge of physical and mental capabilities
-Communicates clearly with all levels of unit, intra-departmental staff, and physicians to assure the best patient care outcomes
-Implementing AORN standards in preparing the patient, equipment, and the surgical suite for scheduled surgical procedures
-Coordinating with anesthesia staff to assist in the delivery of the plan of care in regards to anesthesia delivery
