We have a full-time opening for a Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounting functions related to accounts
receivable, cash and banking, month-end closing activities and financial and management reporting. You will be an integral part of a dynamic, fast paced team which is committed
to creating a world-class financial capability within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 years of experience
Experience in a not-for-profit environment required
Experience with payroll processing
Experience in a healthcare environment a plus
Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups) as well as accounting software (Intacct a plus).
Solid analytical skills; ability to think and act independently
Excellent organizational and communication skills


As a team member at our health center, you will work with staff who are racially, ethnically and culturally
diverse, so being culturally competent is required. A sense of humor is also very important!

Responsibilities:

Full payroll processing responsibility (including postings to GL and reconciliations
Full Accounts Payable responsibility (including cash disbursements monthly analysis, postings to
GL and reconciliations)
Month-end closing responsibilities, including management of prepaids, accrued liabilities, and
general ledger/balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
Assist with yearly audit deliverables
Full responsibility for NSCHI’s contracts maintenance program
Other related duties as deemed necessary by the CFO and Accounting Supervisor
