DESCRIPITION:

Primary Care need in Hawaii State Corrections is open for both full time and part time needs on two of their island locations, Oahu and Maui. Inclusive government rates so no travel is covered and client does prefer local candidates. The patient population is all adult forensic primary care with low acuity. Primary care physician experience is preferred and all of the patients seen are in one of Hawaii's correctional facilities. Licensed in Hawaii is an ease in confirmation and client will consider awaiting a Hawaii license if you have a clean background.

• No call
• No weekends if preferring weekday schedule or weekends available if part-time is offered with Saturday hours optional
• Some flexibility in schedule since all clients are onsite
• Credentialing can take 3-5 days with less paperwork involved
• PPD is all adult and low acuity with 8-12 seen per day averages

Oahu: has two openings for full time and will consider part time

Maui: has one opening for part time

REQUIREMENTS:

• Clean background helpful for ease of credentialing
• Hawaii state license or willing to obtain one timely
• Comfortable in a correctional facility but no experience needed
