Job Description
DirectShifts is seeking Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners in Hampton and Fayetteville, NC.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Applies the nursing process and is accountable for the nursing care of a designated group of patients during an assigned tour of duty
- Demonstrates those behaviors which reflect the scientific knowledge, judgment and technical skills of professional nursing
- Ensures nursing assessment is based on interview, examination, observation, and review of records of the patient
- Develops a goal-oriented care plan based on the nursing assessment, with the participation of the patient and significant others
- Ensures nursing actions are consistent with the care plan and medical regimen and hospital procedures
Requirements:
- Board-eligible or board-certified
- Master's degree
- Previous primary care experience (Ideally 1-2 years)
- Previous emergency medicine experience (Ideally 1 year+)
