Job Description
Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Cordova, TN
Shift: Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm
Job Details
- Greet veterans, report no shows
- Keep office tidy
- Track completed and pending exams for all practitioners, ensure they are submitted timely
- Obtain ancillary results for the practitioners (varies per location)
- Direct Veterans for next steps, i.e.: where to go for labs, where to go for x-rays, that they will hear from back to schedule an ECHO
- Explain that the admin will be working at a site with dedicated practitioners. They will function as an office, but be seeing strictly local Veterans for their disability exams
- Perform venipuncture, Labs will be sent out for testing
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Phlebotomy skills
- Solid experience in medical office environment in front/back office capacity
- Data Entry: High % Speed/Accuracy
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Good verbal and wriiten communication
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer: Basic PC including Windows application
