Job Description
Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32258
Shift: 8am to 5 pm
Job Details
- Answer phones
- Greet patients
- Update patient information into EMR system
- Patient Check in/Check out
- Confirm and Schedule patient appointments
- Insurance Verifications
- Explaining past due balances to patients and what they owe
- Informing patient of Deductibles and what they owe at time of Service
- Perform phlebotomy functions as required
- Rooming patients
- Taking vitals and updating patient information into EMR system
- Assisting with in office procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Front Office role in a Medical office
- Previous EMR experience, experience with Allscripts a plus
- Must be flexible with schedule may have to stay after 5pm depending on patient load
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant
- Must have a Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma from an Accredited School or Program
- Excellent phone skills
- Knowledgeable of Insurances, Deductibles and co-pays
- Ability to multitask in a high volume environment
- A High School Diploma or GED
