Certified Nursing Assistant – Palo Alto VAMC – Ghost RX Staffing
Location: Palo Alto VA Medical Center, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1207
Requirements:
- 2 years experience as a CNA
- Must have clean professional and criminal history
- Must have BLS
- Candidates who are signed to a letter of intent or commitment letter and ready to start at the earliest will be rated more favorably
Multiple shifts available: 07:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM; and 12:30 PM – 9:00 P.M
Job Description:
Functions as an integral member of the extended care team.
- Interfacing with patients, physicians, and family members in an extended care living center setting.
- Implement the plan of care demonstrating knowledge of the responsibilities of the RN and NA for all stages of care.
- Works in partnership with the health care team in implementing standards of care in accordance with the purpose, philosophy and objectives of nursing, while being a positive team player.
- Supervise care given and services rendered in the community living center and hospice by other professional and non-professional staff.
- Responsible for maintenance, care and use of equipment used, applying principles of asepsis, therapeutic and technical knowledge to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provides family and patient teaching
