Job Details:

• The primary job of a surgical assistant is to aid a surgeon during a procedure.
• During a procedure, they perform critical tasks such as applying dressings and ensuring that the area remains sterile
• Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, and pulse.
• Receives or collects specimens and labels them appropriately; discards them after test or stores for future reference.
• Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment.
• Arranges for patients' ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.

Requirements:

• Must be certified - please include a copy of the certification with submission.
• At least 2 year of Surgical Assistant experience required.
• Travel experience - highly preferred
• SA skills needed: Phlebotomy, Drug test collection Vision, Vital signs
• BLS (AHA)
• Maintains current CPR certification
