Full Job Description
Performs Electrodiagnostic (EEG, EMG, and sleep studies) other related examinations including paperwork and scheduling. Performs all procedures with the highest level of patient care. Performs clerical dutiesin a timely and efficient manner in order to ensure proper document flow and storage through and to the area of the Neurodiagnostic laboratory. Performs all types of neurodiagnostic tests under the supervision of a physician with the highest level of competency. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist will provide Full Study Polysomnography (PSG, and related procedure), Ambulatory
Polysomnography (APSG), Titration Studies (TPSG), Multilatency (MLST) Studies, Electroencephalographs (EEG), Ambulatory Electroencephlographs (AEEG), Electromyography (EMG), Evoked Potentials (EP), as well as Respiratory diagnostics and patient care, based on the principles of patient growth and development for their age-specific needs, along with their social, physical, psychological and educational needs; in order to provide adequate patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent with one year neurodiagnostic experience.
- Completion of training for Neurodiagnostic Lab Procedures.
- Registered Polysomnographer by the BPST or eligible. Proof of clinical training with PSGs, EEGs, EMGs and EPs through Competencies.
- Two to five years of experience providing PSGs, EEGs, EMGs, and EPs through competencies.
