Job Description
Mental Health Technician (3pm-11:30pm)
MHT Job Requirements:
The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interactions, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescents to adults depending on which unit worked. Mental Health Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
MHTs are expected to be positive influences on the units and to conduct themselves under the standards of Service Excellence.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND a minimum of two (2) years of related experience (paid or unpaid) in a Human Services field. This experience MUST involve direct contact with the individual receiving services (i.e. coaching, Teaching, case management, etc.)
OR:
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited program in the area of Human Services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Pastoral Counseling, Elementary/Special Education or Family Therapy.
