Job Description

Overview

Our Application Support Specialist provides end user training and technical support for The Company software applications, including but not limited to, medical records, utilization management and timekeeping. Creates and maintains training materials and user documentation along with testing applications and providing written evaluations and test results to developers. Prepares post-implementation reports reviewing relevant events and improvements for future implementations while maintaining effective communication with facility and administrative and managerial personnel.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College Degree

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years in a technical support role
  • Two (2) or more years in a Correctional Healthcare role
  • Current knowledge of PCs, Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak and train comfortably, with technical and non-technical users

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must obtain and maintain security clearance

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for end user training and technical support for the The Company applications, E-Chart, U-Care, Kronos Time Keeper and Kronos HR.
  2. Provide end user training and technical support for The Company Applications.
  3. Create training materials and user manuals for The Company software applications.
  4. Write and maintain functional and technical specifications and operating documentation.
  5. Respond to clients within timeframes dictated by the severity of the problem.
  6. Research operational processes and identify solutions to resolve problems and/or improve efficiency.
  7. Act as conduit for end user feedback about applications. Be their advocate within the Information Technology Department for end user requirements and solutions.
  8. Document support calls and knowledge base with common problem resolutions.
  9. Develop and maintain implementation materials and processes for implementation of software applications.
  10. Responsible to maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with The Company policy, the Facility’s policy, the standards of the relevant professional association, the National Commission on Correctional.
  11. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  12. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  13. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  14. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
