The MASAC Management Information Systems Specialist supports the daily operations of the facility’s Information System Department and is responsible for IT technical support calls and the facility’s computer equipment.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in the use of personal computers and information systems.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Community college or trade school certification in computers or information services preferred
  • Responds to and handles all technical support requests in a professional manner. Keeps staff informed of changes/updates to their computers. Acts as site liaison to team ensuring that all technical support requests are all logged in the corporate help desk system.
  • Troubleshoots computer hardware problems and makes repairs to computers within the capabilities of the IT Department, and arranges repair with a designated vendor if needed.
  • Troubleshoots computer software, ERMA and works with Home Office Support team or software vendor/maker support staff to resolve problems.
  • Installs computer hardware and software based on standard or specific/custom criteria, including the setup of new computers and the transfer of computer equipment from one user to another. Installs computer software on new and existing computers in conformity with software licenses and based on standard or specific/custom criteria established by Home Office IT. Supports other computer system issues as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains a complete inventory of all IT equipment on campus (this includes computer equipment, A/V equipment, faxes, copiers, etc.) via corporate Inventory System. Installs, maintains and troubleshoots all A/V equipment. Sets up needed equipment for all conferences held at the facility. Identifies and keeps supervisor informed of potential issues with the facility computer systems. Complies with the Rules and Regulations of the IS Department.
  • Responsible for ensuring IT equipment and software is compliant with corporate standards and configurations. Alerts supervisor when non-standard software is in use or any technology risks are identified.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
