The SVP, Clinical Operations works with the company physician and healthcare provider community to ensure healthcare Quality, Total Cost of Care and Customer Experience objectives. The SVP, Clinical Operations will lead the operational management team in making enterprise-wide clinical decisions; drive operational goals and objectives, as well as develop appropriate clinical policies, pathways and procedures at the regional and enterprise level. Will oversee clinical compliance with ACA, NCCHC and accreditation standards.

Education :

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)

Experience:

  • 5-10 Years of managing multi-specialty physician group
  • 5-10 years of active practice
  • Evidence of quality or Total Cost of Care project development and implementation

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in a field of medicine with at least one current state license.
  • Lead clinicians in establishing a close collaboration with operations, with an understanding of the relationship between clinical decision making, quality outcomes, contract compliance, and performance to budget.
  • Manage and build clinician talent at the company, through recruiting, retention, rewards, development and succession planning.
  • Clarify and monitor clinicians’ role in client satisfaction and business development.
  • Change management expertise.
  • Able to problem solve and respond to regional variabilities to provide scalable solutions to deliver best practice healthcare
  • Collaborate with leaders and owners on the company team
  • Maximize clinical team efficiency
  • Assist in RFP completion to determine best medical model for bid success
  • Participate on various clinical committees including risk, quality, compliance, zero suicide, infection control and other committees as applicable
  • Source and develop cutting edge best practice to eliminate waste maximizing quality and minimize risk
  • Have a history of clinical excellence, with a broad understanding of all aspects of medicine (general, specialty, mental health, psychiatry and dental), both traditional and innovative forms of healthcare delivery
  • Executive presence
  • Understanding of social determinants of health to develop and assist with programs for transitioning of patient from correctional medical care to community
  • Broad understanding of risk/quality to assist VP of Quality/Risk and Medical Director of Quality/Risk to mitigate and prevent events
  • Broad understanding of regulatory, public health and third party accreditation as related to both national and regional requirements for the delivery of best practice healthcare
  • Presenter at regional and national conferences
  • Basic understanding of MAT
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
