Our Senior Contract Specialist supports the Director, Network Development by developing and managing provider networks and vendor relationships for new and existing sites.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience:

  • At least three (3) years of Managed Care/Healthcare contracting experience
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in working with Managed Care contract terms and reimbursement methods.
  • Position requires strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, multi-tasking, problem solving capability, creativity, initiative, teamwork skills, public relations and customer service skills are required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • None required
  • Assist in developing/managing relationships with targeted hospitals and healthcare providers.
  • Negotiate cost effective contracts in compliance with all state, provider, and corporate requirements.
  • Manage/negotiate medical claims for non-contracted providers in established markets.
  • Specific projects/data analysis as directed by VP Network Development.
  • Provide support for pre-bid assessments for the business development team, securing Letters of Intent and establishing preliminary relationships.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation for all hospital/provider contracts and assisting with providing information for audits.
  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  • Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
