Job Description
1.General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Responsible for immunizations, record keeping, etc. within the hospital's Occ Health/Inf Control Dept.
2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Excel and knowledge of required immunizations for employees
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Experience in clinical healthcare setting; Swing-bed experience preferred; Rural preferred.
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Current RN Nursing License either NE or Multi-State; BLS from American Heart Association
5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
M-F, 8am to 5pm; Must be able to work independently
6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
Critical Access Hospital--25 beds
8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
9.Dress Code:Navy Blue scrubs or Business Casual
10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
First 3 Days will be general employee training, Computer training specific to department

Approval Process (If required by your facility, please list in order from 1 to 3, the people who are must approve your requests):
Experience in clinical healthcare setting; Swing-bed experience preferred
NE or Compact State RN License
BLS? (required)
One to three years recent experience in an occupational health program, medical clinic, or acute care setting?
Certification as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) and/or Certification in Infection Control, (CIC) required
