Job Description
Dietician 13 week contract-
Dietician needed at minimum 3 times per week for menu approvals and consultations. Dietician must review new patients dietary needs within 24 hours. Hours will vary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure. Experience working with the population of the facility preferred. Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Current active professional license or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation. Counsel individuals according to DX
