Job Description

Ghost Rx is looking to hire qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to work as a civilian contractor at the Irwin Army Community, Fort Riley, Kansas as a Civilian contractor promoting and restoring patients’ health.

SUMMARY:

$125/hr
Up to $2k housing allowance

The CRNA performing these services shall be required to provide services in an out-patient environment. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession and applicable professional specialty organizations, Joint Commission (JC) standards, applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and service specific regulations, directives, and policies, and MTF policies, procedures, and job descriptions. CRNAs shall give the highest regard to patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Association’s Bill of Rights for Patients. The CRNA shall provide services in conjunction with other non-contract providers to include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered and licensed practical nurses, and support personnel. All contract health care providers provided by the contractor shall perform essentially the same functions, within the scope of acceptable practice, as those required by Army or government service health care professionals of similar experience and in similar duty assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through either the American Association of Nurses Anesthetists (AANA) or National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) .
-Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing acceptable to meet MTF credentialing requirements.
-Possess evidence of continuing nursing education, which maintains skills and knowledge in the nursing specialty.
-Have at least one (1) year experience within the past five years routinely practicing as a CRNA.

Certifications/Registrations:

Shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Neonate Resuscitative Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certificate. Certification must be maintained at all times. Emergency life support certifications must be sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association.

LICENSURE:

Contractor personnel must have and maintain both a Registered Nursing (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with designation as a Nurse Anesthetist. Licenses must be current and unrestricted to practice Medicine in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine at IACH. The license must be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information (i.e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licensed)), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction).
