Harker Heights, Texas is a town about an hour out of Austin, home to both outdoor recreation and indoor fun. Fish, swim and boat at the lake or dance all night at the club, Harker Heights is a great place to visit both day and night.

Facility Location
Two hog farmers, in 1957, started to subdivide their land and begin selling their lots for residential housing and so a new development by the name of Harker Heights came to be, complete with its own shops and restaurants. The name was a mix of the original landowners name Harley Kern. The city is located close to Ford Hood; a US army facility that was created in the 1950’s and so most of the residents of Harker Heights are engaged in some type of economic activity related to that army post.
