Job Description

Summary:
• Specialty: Certified Nursing Assistant

• Job Type: Contract
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: Six (6) months with the option of renewal over a five-year period
• Shift Schedule:6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, 2:00 pm to 7:00 am, or 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
• Compensation: $561/week (based on a 40-hour week)
• Population: Elderly
• Patient Volume: 60

Requirements:

• Current BLS/CPR training, and any other specialty certifications required for working in an Assisted Living Facility; Current State of Florida Certification
• Three (3) clinical rotations, six (6) months of full-time clinical practice


Responsibilities:
• Provide direct resident care and notify the supervising RN or LPN of any changes in status to ensure the resident's comfort and safety.
• Provide routine nursing care to assigned residents, always using age-appropriate and universal precautions.
• Keep track of any changes in residents and submit detailed reports to the supervisor at the end of the shift/assignment.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication with all staff, patients, and families.
• Pursue educational tools and in-services consistently in order to broaden one's knowledge base about various age groups, techniques, and best practices.
• Consistently lift up to 100 pounds, resulting in a high volume of stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting.
• Willingness to assist in handling a variety of medical equipment.
• Must perform a variety of sensory functions, including vision, speech, smell, touch, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hearing, in order to accurately assess and treat residents."
