Job Description
Our not-for-profit hospital and physician
group located south of Boston, 45 minutes from Providence RI. Has an openings
for a part-time Behavioral Health LPN. Under the supervision of a physician/physician
extender, and Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) is
responsible for the care and management of psychiatric and behavioral health
patients during their visit to the Emergency Department (ED). The LPN
will be performing clinical care, and documentation of care, treatment,
medication and patient teaching in accordance with our Hospital Nursing
Standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program, and current Massachusetts licensure as an LPN required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be completed by the end of the first year of employment.
- Previous experience in the care of behavioral health, substance abuse, or corrections nursing preferred.
